My 4 children and I struggled alone after a divorce. My life back then was praying the lights would stay on. I paid hospital bills in monthly payments because we had no health insurance when my two middle girls were born. Once a school gave us food. Some friends helped driving them to activities. I can count on one hand the vacations we took when they were growing up. Yet it caused them to strive for a different life for themselves. They won scholarships and financial aid and studied abroad in Egypt, Japan and Germany. They then traveled all over the world. All of them are doing well today.
