Jo March is my favorite literary character too. I don’t think that man meant any harm. Maybe he’s the family type who thinks everyone should have children. Yet the second you said you didn’t want children, he should have shut up. I know a guy like that and one day he was mansplaining that all women have this maternal instinct that they need to have children, unlike men. I’m a mother of 4, and his comment was annoying me.
